This position is with Drivers and Energy Systems of Advanced Automotive Analog that designs and produces high performance analog and mixed signal integrated circuits for electric and hybrid vehicles, high-voltage battery charge control, high-voltage IGBT control with integrated Galvanic isolation, combustion engine and powertrain control. NXP SMARTMOS technologies allow us integrating on one ASIC the intelligent actuator drivers, communication links, diagnostics and fault detection, and sophisticated power management.

Drivers and Energy Systems design centers are located in Chandler (Arizona), Detroit (Michigan), Toulouse (France), Moscow (Russia) and Bangalore (India). Working with customers globally, we cooperate internally to develop the products. This position is in Moscow (Russia) design center.

Within our Business Unit you are responsible for:

  • designing analog blocks and sub-systems of application specific integrated circuits,
  • working with product design leader and management,
  • working with cross-functional team of a specific product,
  • performing classical tasks of analog IC designer:
    • analyzing product specification,
    • selecting circuit architecture,
    • translating requirements into electrical schematic using existing components of IC technology
    • simulating,
    • reviewing layout and running post-layout checks and simulations.
  • Once prototype is available, you are measuring performance and providing support during qualification.
  • As needed you redesign until product fits requirements of application.
As a candidate for this role you:
  • provide a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering, micro-electronics, electronics or similar
  • have 3+ years of analog design experience
  • are familiar with and able to design analog MOS and BJT circuits as references, amplifiers, oscillators, detection circuits, filters, auto-zero and matched circuits, linear and switching regulators
  • have basic skills with and understanding of ESD and EMC techniques and testing procedures
  • have experience with mixed-signal design tools as Verilog-AMS
  • have practical experience with Cadence Custom IC tools
  • have English skills, written and verbal, sufficient for technical communications
